Convert Analog CCTV to IP CCTV - Hybrid CCTV Systems

Moving away from your current fully installed standard CCTV System on to IP Security Cameras might be most cost-effectivly accomplished, utilising a Hybrid CCTV System. These can host a multitude of IP Cameras and provide advanced features like Megapixel recording, video analytics and camera intelligence. At the same time Hybrid CCTV Systems will also provide ports to connect your existing analogue cameras.

Reduced Cabling Costs

Even if the installation of a LAN should be needed at your projects location, the installation is in-expensive compared to massive coaxial runs.

Sometimes many IP Cameras are in one general area. These can all be connected to a Network-Switch. The Switch only requires one (!) Cat V Cable connection to your Recording Device. Previous Analogue CCTV Systems required a coaxial connection from every single CCTV Camera back to the DVR.

Seamless Future Expansion

Platinum Vault Inc. provides License-Free Professional CCTV Software Solutions, which means that there will not be any future software expansion costs. With multiple-sites projects of more than 64 cameras this might change, depending on IP-Equipment-Range installed.

Progressive Scan - No Interlace Distortion of Moving Objects

Standard DVRs (Digital Video Recorders) often face problems when recording fast moving objects like cars etc., which are caused by the interlaced recording mechanism. Modern IP CCTV Cameras use a technology called : Progressive Scan. Any snaphsot of a moving scene, even in traffic surveillance, will display as clear as a Digital Camera Snap-Shot.

Use of existing Network Infrastructure

Do your premises have existing Computer Networks (LAN Local Area Network) installed? If yes - then the installation of an IP Security Camera System might work out even more affordable. Instead of running long distances of coaxial and power-cable, only very short runs of affordable Cat V or Cat VI to the closest Network-Data-Points are necessary. Even the power for those cameras can be induced into the existing data network, using PoE Power Supplies (Power over Ethernet) - saving the installation of fused power outlets at all camera locations.

Hybrid CCTV Systems - Hybrid NVR - IP and Analogue Camera Recording

A Hybrid CCTV System can record and display IP Cameras and Analogue Cameras into the same Security Recorder. This makes it possible to take full advantage of advanced features like video analytics, event controled functionality, Megapixel Resolution and expansion via the existing LAN Network, whilst also connecting standard analogue (aging technology) CCTV Cameras.
